Consultation on proposed Digital Identity legislation

We're continuing to consult with the community on proposed legislation that will support an expanded Digital Identity system in Australia.

This consultation took place between 16 November and 18 December 2020. You can now view the Digital Identity Synthesis Report that summarises the responses we received from the consultation process.

We're now using the feedback to develop the next stage of consultation on the Digital Identity legislation. We’ll continue to update you on the progress of this legislation.

The DTA received 44 submissions as part of the consultation process. The following 34 submissions have agreed to make their feedback public. These submissions have been written by third parties and may not be accessible on your device.
